Customer Feedback
Here is just some of the feedback we have
had from recent customers.
Daniel Aged 15
"Having won the Power Boat Course at the raffle, I was
looking forward to the opportunity of driving a very fast power
boat, but I didn't really know what else the day would consist
off.
Crystal Marine who had provided the prize ensured that safety
was a paramount feature and you wore a life jacket throughout
the day.
I learnt how to steer the boat at high speeds, turn safely,
pick up a mooring buoy, and berth the boat.
The speed was exhilarating, and the fact that I earned a
R.Y.A. Powerboat level 1 qualification just added to the
brilliant time.
I would recommend it, as its well worth learning the skills
to safely boat.

"Having spent time on the water previously I had high
expectations for doing my RYA Powerboat level 2, over two days I
learnt to manoeuvre the boat at high
speed and low speed which is surprisingly more difficult than I
expected, my instructors spent time ensuring that I understood
everything and made the whole experience fun and
knowledgeable
especially when it came to "Bob" the Man Over Board buoy.
We did low speed turning and high speed 'S' turns the hardest
part of the course for me was 'holding off a point', we did this
with one of the marker buoys just outside the harbour you have
to use forward, reverse, the wind, and the current to try and
keep the boat in the same spot, or at least try to.
All in all I had a fantastic two days with Crystal Marine and
would recommend doing the course you learn so much and get the
opportunity to get a ICC which is similar to a drivers license
but for boats."

"Having already done my Powerboat
level 2 with crystal marine I opted to do
my
DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) with
them also, we started bright and
early at 9am with coffee and a chat about the equipment how it
all works.
After the initial briefing I was shown how to set up the
equipment correctly and safely we then drove to Aphrodite's
beach and began from the shore at kneeling depth doing skills
such as clearing my mask what to do if I lose my regulator (the
bit you breathe through) and how to share air with another
person in the event you run out.
After doing these skills we swam out to about 4meters depth
and began looking at the seabed and all the life it supports.
Unfortunately we didn't see any turtles but all in all it was a
great experience and one I hope to repeat time and time again,
to con a phrase 'It's a whole new world'."

"I came to Latchi Harbour with an
interest in boats and diving, It was recommended I visit Jason
and Katherine at Crystal Marine for some advice on which courses
would be beneficial to me.
The first courses I tackled were the R.Y.A. Powerboat Level 1
and 2. I found these very interesting and helpful for day to day
manoeuvres in and around the harbour, from general safety
checks, parking along side other boats, turning a boat on the
spot and mooring skills.
I also was taught rope work such as which knots would be best
suited to power boating along with flags buoys and navigation
skills. On the seconded day I was taken out of the harbour into
the deeper open sea to learn high speed manoeuvres, such as man
over board, U turns and S turns. All in all I would highly
recommend this course to anyone as it is great for first timers
or if you simply need to brush up your previously learnt
skills."
"Following on from my powerboat course i later did my D.S.D.
(Discover Scuba Diving) this I found really is the starting
point for getting into diving. This course entailed safety
checks on out diving kit and advice on how to dive safely and
comfortably.
After being briefed we entered the sea from the beach, there
we learned the safety skills from equalizing, to emptying our
mask of water while submerged and the basic safety hand signals.
I've now done 2 courses with Crystal Marine and seem to have
the bug for more dives and more qualifications!!! the staff at
the centre all seemed welcoming and extremely helpful through
out."
