Our StaffChris Hiley

Chris is responsible for ensuring a consistently high
standard for the centres training portfolio. Also as a highly
decorated instructor he teaches anything on and above the water. As an
RYA qualified Powerboat instructor, Chris will coach you through your
powerboat 1&2 courses with confidence ensuring that you are comfortable
and capable of handling a powerboat at sea.
Chris's has a number of passions in life and one of them is Kitesurfing,
after several years of kiting he has become a BKSA (British Kitesurfing
Association) Kitesurf instructor, with his enthusiastic teaching style
you could be cruising along the Akamas peninsular or coached to get
Big-air & freestyle - Who knows you could be the next Aaron Hadlow!!!
Last but not least Chris is also a British Waterski
Federation, Wakeboard and Waterski instructor who received his training
from Rod Beattie and Tony Green both British Nationals finalists
Morgan Dobson

Morgan handles all the training under the water, with
his too many to mention PADI qualifications he could easily find Nemo!!!
Morgan was born and raised in Cyprus but has worked in some of the most
desirable and remote locations in the world including Thailand, Egypt,
Cyprus, Honduras, Kenya, Mexico, Australia & Greece to name a few. Morgan's number
one priority is safety and standards and from the second you meet him you
will know that he is the person to take you either on your first
underwater experience or to help you improve your skills.
Morgan is also one of those people who is consistently
working to improve his skills which now includes a Diploma in Marine
Biology (soon to be a degree) and also extensive hyperbaric
(decompression chamber) training to the level of Hyperbaric Tender. as a
dive instructor giving you the confidence that he could calmly entice
you into the underwater aquatic world.
Jackie Hiley
Jackie is again a RYA Qualified Powerboat Instructor
so she can offer a women's perspective about the whole boaty community
while getting you onto the water. Jackie ensures the smooth
running and organising of Chris and Morgan while negotiating boat sales,
Port Authorities skippering services and just about everything else
which gets thrown at her.
If you have a question come in and ask as I'm sure she
will have or know how to find the answer.
Colin Ridley
Colin is the School's Visiting Specialist. Colin has now been involved with the school for 5 years and was the brave chap who agreed to travel to Cyprus and teach the first ever sea survival course when Crystal Marine was a tiny little idea.
He is now part of the family, staying on the yacht, enjoying a home made curry, sailing, water skiing and some sunshine. He tells everyone in the UK that its hard work - but we really know he just likes coming to teach for us. He is by far the most experienced and qualified of our staff - this year receiving RYA Instructor of the Year ( WELL DONE COLIN) - so come and be trained by the best in his field.
He has awesome teaching skills, great sense of humour but will make you work and earn every bit of your qualification. Oh if that was not enough he is also a published author having just released the new Instructor Handbook (if you ask nicely he may even sign a copy - we have them for sale in the office!!)
Robert Reed
Robert is the School's main Sailing Instructor. On returning to Cyprus, Robert took up the challenge of introducing young and old to sailing. Formal qualifications were gained in the USA, UK, and in Cyprus with Crystal Marine.
In partnership with Crystal Marine, Robert gives Introduction to Sailing to newcomers. Students often return to sign up for further instruction in boat safety, navigation, and advanced sailing with Crystal Marine. We sail a traditional gaff-rigged Cornish Shrimper, unique to Cyprus waters (check out the details on our equipment page). When he is not sailing he can be found restoring old Cypriot stone houses or exploring the off-road forest and mountain tracks of Cyprus.
Robert has a wealth of practical sailing experience, he is passionate about getting anyone and everyone involved in sailing. He teaches using simple non technical language. Honestly one trip sailing with Robert and you will be hooked for life.
